We were at Puccino’s catching up on life – Jackie, my little girl Evangeline, and I. My second baby was soon to be born, and I wanted to get in a good visit before that happened! It was there that I found out that my friend’s wait for motherhood was over. She would be having a baby in August!
You may have seen in my last post, that Jacqueline documented some of our first moments as a family of four. It was an honor to do the same for her, and capture her baby boy’s birth day!
I got the call that Jackie was in labor, and they were just camping out with family at Ochsner, waiting for this baby to make his grand entrance!
Seeing Eric care for his little wife was just the sweetest thing! He is such a supportive husband and now father!
Jackie is the definition of petite. She was unsure if her frame would be large enough for a baby to pass through, and after a couple of hours of pushing, it looked like a cesarean birth would be the best option for her. While this was disappointing for everyone, she and Eric handled it so well. I wasn’t allowed back in the operating room for this one, so we waited, ready to take a look at baby Miles!
This little family is so precious, and I’m so thankful I was able to be there for that day, and a part of their lives now! Thanks, Jackie and Eric for your trust and friendship!
