Collin Wayne: Covington Birth Photographer

It was quite a year for Christian and Ryan. They got married, built a house, and welcomed their first baby all in one year! In the final weeks of pregnancy, it was clear that this baby  wasn’t interested in changing positions. He was breech, and a cesarean section was scheduled at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.PINIMAGEPINIMAGEI arrived early that March morning to find Christian and Ryan keeping their minds occupied with a little game of Connect Four while waiting. They were so cute!PINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEIt was so amazing to see this view of a breech birth! Check out those baby rolls!PINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEPINIMAGEThank you Christian and Ryan for welcoming me in to document Collin’s birth! I’m so glad you can say, “I told you so”. 😉

  • Beth - Is it normal for photographers to be allowed in the OR during a c section? These are so Beauitful. I love that the hospital and Docs let you be in there! What a special story you’ve told through these photos!ReplyCancel

    • admin - Hi Beth,
It completely depends on the doctor and hospital. In some areas of the country, birth photographers are rarely allowed in the OR. With such a high c-section rate in Louisiana, thankfully I’ve been able to go into the OR for the majority of c-sections.ReplyCancel
